One NEW MANUFACTURED ABS Drill Pad with #2 Morse Taper stem. Use this when you must use your lathe as a drill press. I don't have a drill press with 3/4" chuck but needed to use a 3/4" ream. This is my setup. The drill pad is hollow having an .885" recessed .850". The recess allows you to drill or ream though a part. Who would want to do that to your classic all metal no-recess drill pad? Not me and not you! You could bore it out to 1.25" if your projects are larger than 7/8". The generous drill pad surface is approximately 3-1/2" in diameter. Larger than the common and overly expensive all metal tool. Made from ABS by additive manufacturing process. ABS will not dissolve with standard lubricants or become soft in a hot garage or workshop. EVERY unit has been trial fit in a 2MT bore. They stick nicely without wobble but come out with a twist. The stem is sized properly to allow use of tail stock lead screw ejection. Made by Dave from YouTube's Crafted Channel. I own many Atlas lathes on which to test my parts. I have run plastic parts including my ABS gears and change gear bushings for over 4 years making big cuts. ABS Rocks!
